Dijon - Musee Des Beaux Arts

Dijon has a great Museum of Fine Arts. The art is pretty cool, but it's made even better because it's free. We made two separate trips there in one day. The Medieval art section was really cool. My favorite part of that era is to see the strange creatures that are always lurking in the background and the faces that people have. People have done some crazy things in the name of religion, but this is the good kind of crazy.

On our way up the oddly angled steps to the Modern Art area. Pictures get kind of blurry here. Probably because I was trying to sneak the photos past the security guards. Though I'm not sure if they were even forbidden.

Felix Ziem

Eugene Delacroix - Study of a Greek Officer

Leon Bonnat - An Arab Taking a Thorn Out of His Foot

The Contemporary Modern stuff was a little less impressive but still worth a look.
